Buying Yellow Paintings

I've been watching yellow paintings at an online auction site. I wonder where these yellow paintings will end up hanging. There were twenty bids on a painting of yellow daffodils. It was really pretty.

I really liked the painting titled Red Flowers Yellow Ochre Morning. It came in three panels that were each 20"X16". The picture online showed the painting above a bed and it just looked so clean and crisp. The medium for this painting was acrylic.

The smallest paintings that I found were on a panel bracelet. The paintings were of Indian and Near Eastern rulers. The paintings were put in an openwork gold frame set with seed pearls. This piece was created in the early twentieth century.

Another yellow painting that I liked was Yellow World by Karen Khachaturov. There were a lot of contrasting yellows in it. I could see yellow lemons and a beautiful yellow flower. The lemons were painted so realistically. This artist has paintings hanging in private galleries in over 40 countries.

I can only imagine that the oil painting of yellow roses by an unknown artist will hang in a lovely home. The painting has a nice quality to it. The petals of the yellow roses in the painting seemed to reach out as if they were still alive

There was a nice painting that had twenty bidders that was of a vase of yellow daffodils. The feel of the painting was that of one of the masters in impressionist art. The artist listed the item herself and she is also a poet and songwriter. I can close my eyes and see that painting hanging in someone's formal parlor. It is so very elegant.

The future home of the French chic painting of yellow, lavender and pink roses must be that of a very feminine woman. When I was looking at the painting, I could almost smell the roses. I thought that the sale price of two hundred dollars was disappointing. I think it should have sold for more.

My search for yellow paintings found a painting entitled Yellow Taking Over. I don't know why the artist titled his work like that. There was some yellow in this collage, but not much. The painting was done in 1956 by Nicholas Krushenick. It came from the personal collection of a famous photographer that works for the Village Voice. This would look good in someone's law office.

I wish that I could have purchased the antique oil painting of exotic yellow flowers. The auction said that it was painted in 1897. The pictures made the painting look like it was in great shape for being over one hundred years old. It would look good on the wall of my guest bedroom.

Artist Heidi Vaught had a listing for a painting she titled Ambiance numbered 10. The painting had only one bidder and sold for the opening bid, one hundred dollars. I think the winning bidder got quite a bargain. This painting was abstract with lots of teal and yellow.

Another painting by Heidi Vaught went for sixty five dollars. This was another bargain, if you ask me. The painting was entitled Yellow Squared and it had a really dizzy feeling to it. I liked it at first sight.

I have a friend that would have like the painting I found of a yellow cat. It looked just like her cat. The painting was an original acrylic contemporary painting in yellow ochre. It would have complemented her modern furnishings.

Yellow roses make a wonderful subject. I never tire of paintings of yellow roses. My favorite recently was done by Joan Cobb Mayer. The interpretation was stunning.

There was one other yellow rose oil painting that caught my eye recently. This one was painted by Berniece Meyers. The bloom extended to all sides of the canvas and the center seemed infinite. I felt good after viewing it.

The Meanings Of Flower Tattoos

These days, more and more women are getting tattoos. As more women decide to get tattoos, flower designs continue to rise in popularity. The best thing about flower tattoos is the fact that there are many different colors and types of flowers ? providing many different meanings as well. The flowers can mean a few different things, although specific types of flowers such as the rose and the Lilly may have a more specific meaning.

In general, flower tattoos have a connection with nature, bringing up thoughts and images of life and vitality. Anytime we look at a flower, we see the duration of life, simply flowers connect with us in the sense that we both grow. Flowers emerge from the earth and continue to grow on a daily basis. Then, the flowers bloom, knowing that they will later dry up and start to wilt away.

Having a tattoo with a flower brings back the entire process known as life. Keep in mind however, that different colors and flowers on tattoos will symbolize other things as well. White flower tattoos symbolize purity, while red flower tattoos can symbolize a burning passion. There are many colors and designs available, giving plenty of meaning to those desiring flower tattoos.

Roses are the most common flower design for tattoos, symbolizing love. During the turn of the 16th century, roses were tattooed on those who were sentenced to death. If they were to escape from the gallows, the rose tattoo would serve as a symbol to easily recognize them. These days, roses symbolize both love and passion. Roses have long been known as a romantic flower, popular for special occasions with the ones we love.

In the western regions, rose tattoos are a symbol of love and purity. In the Eastern regions however, love and purity are symbolized by a lotus flower. Tattoos that feature lotus flowers also bring a little more meaning to the table. Lotus tattoos are also known to symbolize fortune, peace, beauty, and goodness. Even though roses are the most popular tattoos in North America, Lotus flower tattoos are more common in other regions.

Other examples include the acacia flower tattoo which is the symbol for love and friendship. There are some people with Irish heritage who choose to get tattoos with the flower known as the Bells of Ireland. This flower is well known throughout Ireland, with the tattoo symbolizing good luck. Irish who have this tattoo are known to be lucky, or have an insane trend with luck.

Those who think of themselves as being the perfect lover may want to get a tulip tattooed on their arm. Tattoos with tulips represent passionate love and fame for being a great lover. If you happen to be shy and timid, you may want to go with a violet flower tattoo instead. Violets are common tattoos for those who are shy and timid, and enjoy taking things slow. Those wanting to symbolize wisdom and virtue on the other hand, would be well to get an Iris. Magnolias are also common with flower tattoos, as they symbolize an individual's love for nature.

Flower tattoos are very common and popular designs these days, giving plenty of meaning behind their beauty. The flowers can be large or small and as bold as you wish them to be. No matter which flower you have decided to use with your tattoo, you can ensure that the flower says the meaning you are looking for.

How To Celebrate An Anniversary

Whether it is your two week, two month, two year, or twenty year anniversary, you should celebrate your time together with your loved one in a very special way. It should be a day (or night) to remember for ever. Many people seek advice on how to celebrate an anniversary in a way that will be special for both themselves and that special loved one. Whether you are in your first relationship, or just out of ideas, it is still easy to celebrate your anniversary in class and style.

Many women in a newer relationship expect a lot of their significant other's when it comes to celebrating an anniversary. The best way to please these women is to arrive at the door (or home from work, if you're married) with a dozen roses or other flowers, a nice box of chocolates, and a sentimental anniversary card that really shows her how much you care, then whisk her away to a romantic dinner at your favorite restaurant.

Those in older relationships tend to celebrate an anniversary in a different way. Especially those with children cannot get out as often as they would like. In this case, a dozen roses or some other flowers, a nice box of chocolates, and a sentimental anniversary card to let her know that she is still the love of your life, is definitely the way to go.

Women should not ignore the anniversary celebration either. It has become increasingly popular for women to give their significant other a gift and an anniversary card on these occasions. Some women go so far as to buy their man flowers as well, but many men will likely take this as too much, and unmanly, even for an anniversary. However, it is important to keep in mind that an anniversary celebration is not just for the woman of the relationship any longer. It is important to make your man feel special as well by giving him a sentimental, or even humorous, anniversary card.

There are many funny anniversary cards out there that fit many relationships. Some relationships are not built on sentiment so much as having fun times together and being good humored through bad times. Funny anniversary cards give these relationships a way to express themselves completely, without the restraints and tears of a sentimental anniversary card.

Perhaps the most important thing to remember when planning your anniversary celebration is what your significant other enjoys. If you know that he or she enjoys a good joke and fun times at the bar, give them a funny anniversary card and a gift certificate. If you know that he or she enjoys chocolate and romance, give them a sentimental anniversary card and a box of chocolates from an exotic location. If you aren't sure what he or she likes, then it's time to find out. Drop subtle hints prior to your anniversary celebration and ask questions so that you know what will please your significant other on this special anniversary. Then, follow through by getting the special, perfect anniversary card and gift.

Regardless of how you celebrate, an anniversary celebration is one of love and togetherness. Make your anniversary special in any way you can, and a long lasting relationship will be your reward.
